PROGRAM NOTE:

Dragons was commissioned by the Minnesota Music Teachers Association to celebrate

its 80th anniversary year. It was premiered on June 4, 1983, during the Association’s 48th

annual State Honors Student Concert at Northrop Auditorium with Philip Brunelle

conducting an ensemble of 20 pianos.
